The people behind every detail

Lalo Durazo

Lalo Durazo

CEO

I’ve never been so excited to work in hospitality as I am today.  What motivates me the most is to be able to provide our team with a place where they can learn, develop and prosper, professionally and personally, allowing us to have a well-organized operation with an amazing team spirit.

We believe in our people and our culture so much that we are set to take Mexican hospitality to the next level, and take it to as many places as we can outside of Mexico.

CFO

I have an unwavering commitment to ensuring our restaurants operate seamlessly, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at DZO Hospitality Group. My role involves meticulously administrating our income to ensure the smooth functioning of our establishments. But my motivation goes far beyond just balancing the books; it’s rooted in a passion for the greater good. I am driven by the belief that by growing our company, we can generate more employment opportunities and enhance the lives of those working with us. For me, it’s not just about the numbers; it’s about making a positive impact on our team and community.

Despite working backstage in the financial realm, I find immense satisfaction in witnessing the end result of our efforts. Seeing people joyfully visiting and savoring their meals at DZO’s restaurants is my ultimate reward.

Chef Dayllan Regalado

Culinary Supervisor Miami

I fell in love with Mexican cuisine when I started as a line cook at Talavera a few years ago.

Today, I hold the position of Culinary Supervisor in Miami, and my journey within the company has been truly incredible.

Throughout our journey, we have encountered numerous obstacles and learned valuable lessons along the way.

I find pleasure in the challenges we encounter in our kitchens every day as they motivate my personal and professional growth as a chef.

I strongly believe in the power of teamwork and enjoy mentoring new cooks. I believe that collaboration is essential for achieving our goals and finding success in life.

I also enjoy developing new menus and dishes, which allows us to share our ideas with our guests. This helps them feel our passion for what we do, as we strive to create an immersive dining experience rather than just serving food.
Being aware that I have contributed to that accomplishment is an incredible sensation, and I will forever appreciate the trust placed in me.

HR Manager

I really enjoy the variety of challenges we face in HR and the contributions we make toward enhancing DZO’s strategic business goals.

But definitely, the best part for me is the thrill of opening new locations, the employees’ selection, the training, the new menu and the tastings! An employee’s commitment to make their new workplace successful, being able to see how an empty space is transformed into a beautiful restaurant, feeling the excitement of the employees on the opening day, listening to customers’ comments on how wonderful and warm the service was, the delicious food they enjoyed and what an amazing experience they just lived, and then witnessing the success of the restaurant thereafter, and knowing that I am part of that success, is the best reward I can receive for doing my job!

Bookkeeper

I am the Bookkeeper for DZO Hospitality. I am so pleased to be working for this amazing Company with exceptional management. It truly feels like home! With numerous years of experience in hospitality, starting at the early age of 13, I’ve played many different roles, in both operations, and administration. I honestly love all aspects of this business, but for the last 10 years I have focused most of my time on the administrative side and I feel like it is a perfect fit. I find I really enjoy the challenge of time management to insure all accounts are paid in a timely manner, reports are done with accuracy, and the books are maintained with precision and a great deal of attention to detail. I pride myself on being highly efficient in order to meet the challenges I’ve been given as well as the challenges I place upon myself. I look forward to many years with the DZO Hospitality family!

HR Assistant

I work in the Human Resources Department at DZO Hospitality. I began my journey through college when I realized my passion for psychology and interest for business could be combined into one profession. I graduated with a Bachelors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and found the incredible opportunity to work for a company that highlights another one of my favorite things…food and hospitality! Having worked in the service industry myself I find that I have a better understanding as to what to look for in new hires for our restaurants. As an HR professional at DZO, I enjoy being able to help people fulfill their potential by hiring the right candidates and then helping them thrive in their jobs. HR allows me to express my personality every day and I love the day-to-day tasks we engage in. I enjoy connecting with individuals and continue to work on making a positive impact within the company culture.
